Gail’s Tips for a Life of Balance

I would like to wish all of you a very happy, healthy, and wonderful New Year! If you are anything like me, you have experienced a year that was filled with a combination of many happy and joyful times and times that have been rough and stressful. The wonderful times are remembered with much gratitude which brings us happiness. The stressful times let us know how much we need to learn and grow which isn’t always easy for any of us. I would like to share some tips on dealing with the ability to go through stressful times and still maintain relative balance in our everyday lives.

  • Keeping a “Gratitude List” and looking at it and thinking about all that you are grateful for in your life really does create miracles. When you feel down or have stressful situations going on, a gratitude list will help shift negative energy to a positive energy to help you see and think more clearly. Whether it is being grateful for the people that you love, your home, or just being able to eat a delicious meal, etc., being “conscious” of the things that you are grateful for brings you peace. You can write down this list in your phone or keep a little notebook in your purse or pocket where you can jot down the things you are grateful for. Just read it every day and feel the shift. There is a wonderful book called “The 15-Minute Miracle” by Jacquelyn Aldana that takes you through a beautiful journey about how gratitude does create miracles in you life!
  • Whenever you come to a crossroad in your life, or situations that you have questions about, ask yourself two questions that relate to the answers that are coming up. Does it bring me peace? Does it bring me joy? If your mind/body/soul answers yes to these questions, then the answer to any situation is correct. Your inner teacher knows what to say and do – just listen!
  • We all know that eating good, healthy food, getting the proper amount of rest, drinking a good amount of water is all wonderful and important. I just want to remind the people who know, and the people who don’t know, how important it is to take time (15 – 20 minutes) each day to either do some type of meditation, yoga, qi gong, relaxation techniques, to allow the body/mind to recharge and relax. This is so very important for us to allow this type of daily experience into our lives so that we are able to renew our energy each day which creates peace and strength to deal with whatever our day brings! YouTube has many videos on relaxation, meditation, yoga, and qi gong. Take a look and see and feel what you resonate with and use them as tools to create balance in your life.

If you have any questions, please call or email me.  I would love to talk with you.

Have a blessed New Year!
